Levi A. Anaya

Levi Anaya is one of the most experienced investigators in New Mexico and has an impressive background in all aspects of investigations and procedure. A retired Commander for the Albuquerque Police Department, Mr. Anaya served the department in all areas. During his tenure, Mr. Anaya oversaw, managed and investigated complex criminal investigations in areas such as undercover operations, white-collar crimes, homicides, violent crimes, crimes committed against children and property crimes. In addition, Mr. Anaya was tasked with many difficult and complex internal work place investigations for the department, including investigations regarding allegations of discrimination, harassment and police misconduct.

As an APD Commander, Mr. Anaya served the citizens of Albuquerque as a Field Operations Commander for the Foothills Area Command. He was responsible for the executive management of a staff of more than 100 sworn and civilian personnel, who provided law enforcement services to approximately 100,000 residents. Mr. Anaya had the pleasure of collaborating and working with community leaders to reduce crime in order to improve the quality of life for Albuquerque residents.

Mr. Anaya also is a graduate of the FBI National Academy where he received further education and training regarding computer forensics, civil rights and counter terrorism.

As a private investigator, Mr. Anaya has worked on a variety of cases including those involving allegations of police misconduct, personal injury, missing persons, skip traces and federal compensation investigations. Mr. Anaya provides litigation support such as conducting background checks, locating and interviewing witnesses, workplace investigations, process service, and subpoena service. He also provides consultation to attorneys in the area of law enforcement. Mr. Anaya has also provided dignitary protection. He has served as a consultant to candidates for public office, educating them regarding law enforcement issues.

Outside of work, Mr. Anaya and his family are heavily involved in competitive soccer. He is the assistant soccer coach for a local high school.  Mr. Anaya has also served on the boards of several community-based organizations.
